Why we can make this promise

We use Anthropic's commercial API, not a consumer chatbot.
Anthropic's commercial terms prohibit it from training its models on customer content sent through the API. Consumer Claude accounts have different, opt-in training settings. Those settings do not apply to the API.

Anthropic keeps conversation data for a limited time, then deletes it.
Under Anthropic's commercial retention policy, API inputs and outputs are deleted within 30 days at most. Anthropic may keep automated safety-check results to enforce its usage policy.

We never opt in to training.
Anthropic can train on API data only if the customer chooses to share it, for example through feedback submissions or its Development Partner Program. Founder Labs will never do either. This is an internal rule.

We don't train models on your data either.
Founder Labs does not build or fine-tune any AI model on members' conversations, ideas or documents.

We never sell or share your data for marketing.
No data brokers, no advertising use.

Our other suppliers never see your ideas.
Analytics and error-monitoring tools are configured to exclude conversation content. Payments (Stripe) and email (Resend) receive only what they need to bill you and write to you.

You can export everything you've created and delete your account and its data from your settings.
An honest limit, stated plainly: Anthropic's no-training commitment is a contractual promise. We rely on it, and on Anthropic's published policies and independent security audits. We cannot inspect Anthropic's systems ourselves. That is the same basis on which businesses and public bodies use the API.
How we use AI, and what we never do with your data
Founder Labs uses AI models provided by Anthropic, PBC, through Anthropic's commercial API. When you talk to your board, your messages and relevant context are sent to Anthropic to generate a reply. Anthropic acts as our data processor under a data processing agreement.
Under Anthropic's commercial terms, Anthropic does not use content sent through its API to train its models. Anthropic retains API inputs and outputs for no more than 30 days, after which they are deleted, except that it may retain the results of automated safety checks to enforce its usage policy. We do not take part in any Anthropic programme that would permit training on your content.
Founder Labs does not use your conversations, ideas, documents or board minutes to train or fine-tune any AI model. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising or marketing.
We store your conversations, documents and board minutes in our database so that you can use the service. They are visible only to you. You can export them or delete your account, and the data with it, at any time from your account settings.
Anthropic processes data in the United States. Transfers of personal data from the UK are made under appropriate safeguards as required by UK data protection law. [Solicitor to confirm the transfer mechanism, e.g. the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, and Anthropic's DPA terms.]
